This time I have experimented on canvas panel and on wood and also documented the changes:
The canvas panel was first painted with two layers of iron coating (image 1) As the iron coating is a thick liquid you can create a structure with the brush.
Then the iron coating was covered with instant rust. After a while a light rust coat appears (image 2).
As next step gold coating was applied and while still wet sparkled with patina. By moving the canvas panel the patina found its own way over the panel (image 3).
The gold coating also reacts with the rust layer beneath. That's why the color also changed where no new patina was applied (image 4).
A wooden box was painted with two layers of iron coating. Two squares were applied in the thick liquid and filled with patina (upper part) and instant rust (part below). I also applied some sand there (image 1).
With time passing the changes got more and more visible (image 2 to 4).
In the end some highlights were painted with gold coating and patina. (image 5 and detail image 6)
