Der Traum

"The dream" - acrylics and paper on canvas (80x120cm)

For this painting only Ultramarine and Titanium White were used. The colours were put on the canvas with a fur-roll. The canvas was coated in pure Ultramarine. The silkpapers used for this painting were taken from the wrapping of shirts. After crinkling and smoothing them, they were put on the canvas, rolled over with colour and then pulled off again several times until they were worked in their final position. In the end, Titanium White was applied with a dry brush on the crinkles to make them more visible.
