Frühling 1

"Spring 1" - acrylics on canvas (40x40cm)

Two kinds of green were mixed from Titanium White and opaque Chrome Oxide Green, then put on the canvas with a rubber roll. In the upper lighter part, the colour was put on in a thick coat receiving a slight texture from rolling over it. For the lower, darker part, some Light Modeling Paste was added to the colour. This part was also dabbed with the rubber roll in order to get a different texture. The white forms in the foreground were splashed on the canvas directly from the bottle.
