Silberblau

"Silverblue" - acrylics on canvas (20x20cm)

An experiment with thick layers of colour. A lot of Ultramarine was applied on a canvas with a palette knife as if the colour was a texture gel. In the texture, some small parts were smoothed with a painting knife and coated with Ultramarine and Silver when they were dry. In the end, Silver was applied with a dry brush on the textures.

Remark: For such thick coatings it's better to use extra pastuos colours if you don't want the textures to shrink during the drying process.
