"Sturmhöhe (Wuthering Heights)"

acrylics and paper on canvas (70x60cm)

The canvas was primed with Burnt Siena and a synthetic fur-roll. Then the treetop was arranged with pieces of silkpaper, binder and Copper. The trunk as well as the branches and roots were also made of silkpaper, that was painted with a mixture of Oxide Black and Burnt Siena afterwards. The same mixture was applied with a dry brush on the ground under the tree. Then again the tree top was continued so that some of the "leafs" also cover the branches. In the end, Burnt Siena was applied with a dry brush on the tree top as well as on the background. The background and the trunk were structured with Copper in dry brush technique.

This painting is now hanging in Weimar/Germany.
