"Tryptichon"

acrylics and texture gel on canvas (three canvasses of 20x60cm each)

This is a material study with transparent filler. The canvasses were primed with Ultramarine, light Chrome Green and Cadmium Orange. When the coating was dry, the first stripes of transparent filler were put on with a palette knife. The texture was created by pulling the flat part of the knife quickly from the filler. When those stripes were dry, the coating inbetween was ground with grinding paper. The white stripes were created like the transparent ones, just mixing some Titanium White into the transparent filler before putting it on the canvas.
